OUR NURSES
Specialist nurse care that goes the extra mile
Being the UK’s leading home cancer treatment provider means we’ve got a great nursing team here to support you every step of the way. In fact, we have the largest at-home nurse resource in the UK, and the support they offer goes way beyond providing treatment. One of the reasons we’re able to offer first-class nursing care is our internal accredited nursing programme. We train our own nurses to masters’ degree level and as cancer specialists. Once qualified, they undergo annual reaccreditation to make sure their knowledge and service levels are gold standard.
QUALITY & GOVERNANCE
Support of a clinical
nurse specialist
Researchers found that having the support of a clinical nurse specialist was the biggest factor in providing a positive patient experience*, which is why we make sure you have one straight away. Their role is to help you maximise your independence and quality of life before, during and after your cancer treatment. They will support you and your family with a wide range of emotional, psychological, physical, and financial needs including:
• Alleviating any worries or anxieties
• Providing emotional support
• Helping to develop coping strategies
• Providing information and signposting to support services
• Coordinating services
* Independent Task Force (2015). Achieving World Class Cancer Outcomes. A strategy for England 2015-2020.
